Obama taps lobbyist for HHS Deputy
According to the Politico, Obama has nominated Bill Corr, the executive director of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, to be deputy secretary of health and human services. The Politico noted back in November that Corr, also a member of Obama's transition team, was a registered lobbyist as recently as September.

Yesterday, Obama voluntarily released the names of 243 contributors to his inauguration, who together donated $9.7 million, continuing his commitment to disclosure. We analyzed some of that information yesterday, and have created a chart listing all of the inaugural donors who were also big donors (87) or bundlers (19) to Obama during the campaign as well. In his prepared remarks for this morning's press conference, Obama announced that the Transition will release details in "a few days." We have updated our standing list of Obama's fundraisers who are working in the Transition. There are now 30 former bundlers.
CRP tallies transition members' contributions to Obama
Our friends at the Center for Responsive Politics have posted a study showing how much money members of the transition effort contributed to Obama's campaign. The chart also includes data on the amounts given to all Democratic committee and notes which transition members were bundlers.
Obama creates economic recovery panel
The transition has announced that Paul Volcker, the former chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, will head the newly established Economic Recovery Advisory Board, while Obama economic advisor Austan Goolsbee will serve as its staff director and chief economist, and will also fill one of the three seats on the Council of Economic Advisors.
The board will offer "independent, nonpartisan information, analysis and advice to the President as he formulates and implements his plans for economic recovery," according to the release, which is after the jump.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee, in its first official announcement, has set a bar on contributions and on who can give, but does not live up to its own claim of setting the most stringent limits in history.
The committee has established a limit of $50,000 per donor. It will not accept contributions from "corporations, political action committees, current federally-registered lobbyists, non-U.S. citizens and registered foreign agents," according to its press release. (More after the jump.)
